When you add text in a PDF, by default Acrobat picks nearby font attributes for the new text. Similarly, when you edit existing text in a PDF and the font is not available on the system, by default the font fall-backs to a specific font in a particular script; for example, font fall-backs to Minion Pro in roman script fonts. This default behavior can lead to fonts with inconsistent appearance in a PDF document. To make it consistent throughout all the PDFs, instead of using the default settings, you can choose a specific font for both Add Text and the fallback option in edit text features using the Font Options under the Content Editing preferences.

I have done this (changed font color, font type, font size, etc) in text boxes without any problems in Acrobat 9.x Pro, so I know Adobe knows that has been a feature of Acrobat before. - I use Acrobat 9 Pro with Windows XP. I cannot seem to change the font color from red to black in a text box. It seems that if I choose to add a text box while editing a form, I can change the color without problems; otherwise, if I choose to enter a textbox from the Comments menu, the text is red and there's no way to change the color or font size, only the font's characteristics such as bold.
Note:
If you don't see the 'Fallback font for Editing' and the 'Default font for Add Text' settings under the Font Options section, update your Acrobat DC to the latest version. To automatically update from Acrobat DC, choose Help > Check for updates, and then follow the steps in the Updater window to download and install the latest updates.

To change the default fallback font for editing text:
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Editing > Font Options.
- Select an appropriate font in the Fallback font for editing drop-down list.
To change the default font properties for Add Text:
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Editing > Font Options.
- Select an appropriate font in the Default font for Add Text drop-down list.
- Select an appropriate font size in the Font Size drop-down list.
Note:
To restore the default behavior, select Let Acrobat choose in the drop-down list.

For the source printing the document, I also had this problem until I implemented the fix found at an Adobe Forum:
You should do this on the system creating/printing the PDF;Adobe calls it 'milling'. Copied from the Adobe Forum:
- Click on START, DEVICES & PRINTERS, ADOBE PRINTER, PRINTER, PROPERTIES, PREFERENCES
- Then under the AdobePDF Settings tab click on DEFAULT, HIGH-QUALITY PRINT
Next, UN-CHECK “Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts.”
Click APPLY, OK - Go back to Step 1 and click on the PAPER/QUALITY tab, ADVANCED
Look for IMAGE COLOR MANAGEMENT, TRUE TYPE FONT:
Click on the “Substitute with device font.” A dropdown box will appear. Click on “DOWNLOAD AS SOFTFONT.” - Next, under DOCUMENT OPTIONS, click on POSTSCRIPT OPTIONS, TRUETYPE FONT DOWNLOAD OPTIONS:
Click on “Automatic.” A dropdown box will appear.Click on “NATIVE TRUETYPE.”
Click OK to close the pop-up window. You may have to click on APPLY once you get back to the Paper/Quality tab, then click on OK to close that window. If Apply is available in the Adobe PDF Properties window, click it then click OK one more time to close the window and “X” out of everything else. https://powerupfile894.weebly.com/microsoft-office-corporate-discount-program.html. Your new preferences should be saved and your document should print in Adobe just like it looks on your screen in the original program.
Fujitsu t901 drivers windows 7. The steps above will change your Adobe Printer Default Settings to accept and print fonts native to the document you are trying to create, instead of using Adobe's fonts to 're-create' the document leading to undesirable results.
You may need to reboot after adjusting these settings.
